petersheik asked: Did you chop and screw "Heart of Gold" a few years ago? That, sir, is, as they say, my shit. It's perfect. And it weirds out the squares. Win-win.
Yes I did! It took me a long time to find, because apparently my archiving blows, but I tracked it down in the end.
Take this, squares: Neil Young - Heart of Gold (Chopped and Screwed by the Saturday Club).
the-octobrist asked: The first mashup I ever heard was your remix of "The Way We Get By" and "How We Do." That was probably about 5 years ago. I've since lost the mp3 of it. Is there some way I could get a hold of that track? It was a big favorite of mine back in the day.
Wow. Awesome. I’m glad you liked it!
For those too new to Screw Rock ‘n’ Roll to know, this blog began when I began chopping and screwing rock songs and posting them to this outlet’s now disused Blogspot incarnation. The Spoon vs The Game mash-up, which is indeed from five years ago, came in two forms: one regular-speed and the other screwed. I did think I might have lost the mp3s what with new computers and new hard drives, but I hunted through some old folders and found them both.

In other Screw Rock ‘n’ Roll news, last year Martin Douglas suggested I chop and screw his noise-folk album Buttons for North Caroline. I agreed and promptly did not. But I will!
