Eurovision might have ejected Austria’s inestimably fantastic entry during the semi-finals, but it has introduced me to the wonderfully cityporny qualities of non-European host city Baku. It’s sort of cheating to show a city at night when making a case for its beauty — only a rare town looks unpleasant sparkling like that — but it’s worth it for the sight of the Flame Towers lit up in neon.
