I like it when songs are about...
Guys telling girls they’re going to marry them. E.g. The Drive-By Truckers - Marry Me; Rooney - If it Were Up to Me; Nas - Getting Married It’s passionate and romantic and masculine all at once. Who knew that combining love songs with a zest for adult responsibility could turn out so good? (Green Day’s “Church on Sunday” also qualifies.) Any others?
